I have been trying relentlessly to write an article since time immemorial but focus and lack of time always gets me. However, due to the insistence and great confidence entrusted upon me by a dear friend who has long since requested me to enlighten her on a topic, here i am, trying to pick my wits up.
So what has my friend been pushing me all along? I should say this is a real knack for a scrutinizing discussion and a perfect thrill-seeking analogue -- the asymmetry between soulmate and destiny.
First things first, let's try to define each one separately before coming to a conclusion.
SOUL MATES
Soul mates have been known and defined as souls that were separated and were designed to look forever for his other half, the other half of his soul. Based from what i gathered, there are speculations founded on some divine mystical insights that God created hermaphrodite souls — in other words, equally male and female. Subsequently, these souls were detached into separate genders as a form of punishment over their deeds. So for every reincarnation, they were condemned to spend their lives searching for the other half to complete them. And only upon ablution of their incurred indiscretion shall these souls merge back together and return to the ultimate.
Taking these things into consideration, i reckon that soul mates look for each other with the goal and idea to: first, make everything work out fine and second, to stitch things back together. This pair may unknowingly recognize each other upon initial encounter.. but as time goes by, and these individuals learn to grasp with each others' strength and weaknesses, they begin to feel the need to be with each other for whatever reason there is where aback and underneath lies their mission to accomplish things.
Well, i guess this conforms to my previous quote that --
.. soul mates doesn't necessarily mean that these souls have to be perfectly in accordion with each other in perpetuity.. rather, the impeccable half is meant to be there to guide the other half's dissipation in eternity..
DESTINY
Destiny or fate has been defined as the predetermined course of events -- a concept based on the belief that there is a fixed natural order to the cosmos. Therefore this, i should say, has already been written even before our existence. Goes well with the saying, everything and anything in this world exists and happens for a reason.
We could assert that we are always left with the choices and decision. Yes, nonetheless, if we try to deliberate on the concept, we can end up recognizing that these decisions were presets. All were authored. Even as simple as the time you wake up in the morning, the rude person you encountered in the street, the screaming boss, anything and everything for that matter. We are all programs waiting to happen. I don't think that we can ever reverse what is due. This is NEMESIS.
..i always believe that everything happens for a purpose……for a reason..though it may be for a good cause..or otherwise..
..everything was destined to be..
For us to take note of it....maybe no matter how many times the world reboots....whoever personality we become....we’ll always end up the same
..entirety is how it was meant to be..
CONCLUSION
So, is soul mate and destiny the same?
Errrr...
I am into the impression that there are cases that some people may have already uncovered their soul mates. The thing is they chose not to resolve their dues in the specified lifetime, thus the destiny to separate and fulfill wherever their fate led them. Probably both souls may still be unsatisfied on what previous lives came about and will still challenge the life ahead without each other and thereby compensate the undoings owed with their kismet. And until the time that the other half decided to stick, no matter what it entails to get full deliberation of his mate, then and only then that these souls will be reunited and be as one.
I have to emphasize that this is inevitable and was decided by fate according to our incurred karma. That is, the moment the souls were separated, all were written down.
Judging from my personal elaboration, i can safely conclude that Soul mate and destiny are not the same. Soul mates decided on how destiny would be, the first time that they have been sentenced to separate. They could cross paths somewhere in time but may not yet be destined to be together. Our destiny today were based on what we and our soul mates did. This destiny is the reflection on who we were and what we should be. Therefore destiny is congruent to soul mate. There shall be a point in time that our half will be our destiny and then and only then will soul mate and destiny be synonymous with each other. So, if you are with someone where you've been together, struggling life's up and down, here and there.. and still end up sticking with each other.. then maybe, you & your soul mate has finally met destiny.. who knows? only our consciousness can decide..
Cheers!!
