when you have to look for red payphones
just to get in touch with your friends?
or better yet,
go to those 'blessed' homes
to make a call.. Lol..
well..fortunately,(?)
i am one of those unlucky ones..
until my college years,
our phone line application
has been on queue..
and it was already when i got married
that we were finally connected
to the world.. whew!
guess i am just trying to recall the times
when we were so small and naive
but dreaming of the possibility
that someday everyone would be able
to see each other,
though how many miles it may seem,
as people talk on the phone..
time flew so fast
and indeed it was proven once more
that whatever human mind can conceive
his body will achieve..and beyond..
look at us now..
every means of communication are all over..
cell phones, landlines, internet and instant messaging..
video calling is just a click away..
wherever you are..
for as long as there are internet connections..
hmmm.. guess i belong to the fortunate ones now..
i was not left behind this time.. yay!
and i'm trying to access
the limitless possibilities it offers..
for as long as i am able to.. haha..
after all here's a new way
of bringing our youth back..
our opportunity for boundless fantasies
now unfolds..
envisage..
holograms, perhaps?
or at extreme, unfathomable products-coming-to-life printouts?
we'll see...
